Reports and Analytics | Retail
Retail Core and Nova devices give operators a full suite of reports from sales summaries and VAT totals to hourly trends and profit margins to drive informed business decisions.
General
Turn your sales data into decisions. Retail Core and Nova devices give you a full suite of reports covering sales totals, payment methods, VAT, hourly trends, profit margins, and product modifiers - all accessible without exporting to a third-party tool.
Data-driven decisions start here.
Whether you are tracking sales totals, understanding customer behaviour, monitoring inventory, or preparing VAT returns, Retail Core's reports give you the numbers you need without leaving the portal. Use Device Reports for a quick terminal-level view, and Retail Core Reports for the full business picture.
Two reporting environments
Retail Core gives you reports from two different places, each suited to a different purpose. Understanding the difference helps you go straight to the right place.
Before You Start
- โ You have an active Retail Core account with at least Reporter access (read-only) or Administration access.
- โ At least one device is activated, online, and has processed transactions.
- โ For Device Reports: you have physical access to the Nova Market or Nova POS device, or technician credentials to access the device menu.
- โ For VAT and Accounting reports: your products are configured with the correct Tax Group in the Retail Core main portal.
Device Reports
Device reports are generated on the terminal itself and give a company-level sales overview without needing to log into the Retail Core portal. Useful for a quick end-of-day check or when you are on-site at a location.
Retail Core Reports
All Retail Core reports are accessed from the Reports menu in the Retail Core main portal at webui-srv.bnayax.com. Each report is filterable by date range, Store, and POS terminal. Use the subsections below to find the report that fits your current question.
High-level totals for a selected period. Use for daily, weekly, or monthly revenue overviews. The Sales Summary report is the starting point for most business reviews.
Line-by-line transaction data and product-level breakdowns. Use when you need to understand what sold, in what quantity, and at which terminal. The X/Z report is the standard end-of-shift or end-of-day closure report.
Break down revenue by how customers paid and generate the VAT figures needed for accounting and tax filing. These reports pull from the Tax Group assigned to each product in your catalog.
Understand when your busiest trading periods are and how margin holds up across your product range. Use the Sales by Hour report to optimise staffing or promotional timing. Use the Sales and Profit report to identify your highest-margin products.
Track add-ons and customisations that customers select at the terminal -- such as extra toppings, size upgrades, or condiment choices. The Sales and Modifiers report shows which modifiers are most selected and their revenue contribution.
