FAQ
Description
| MoMa app installed | Download and install the MoMa app on your iOS or Android device. Ensure you are running the latest available version. |
| Logged in to MoMa | Sign in with your Nayax account credentials. Your account must be associated with at least one operator in Nayax Core. |
| Machine access | The machine you want to work with must be assigned to an operator your MoMa account can access. Machines outside your operator scope will not appear in the Machines list. |
| Refund submission permissions | Required to submit a refund request. If the Request Refund button is not visible on a Settled transaction, your account does not have this permission. Contact your Nayax account administrator. |
| Refund approval permissions | Required to approve or decline a refund request. If the Approve/Decline Refund button is not visible after a request has been submitted, your account does not have this permission. Contact your Nayax account administrator. |
| Settled transaction status | Refunds and receipts are available only for transactions with a Settled status. Pending transactions are not yet eligible. |
| Customer email address | Have the customer's email address ready to send a refund confirmation or receipt. Alternatively, have the last four digits of the card used or the product name to locate the transaction in Last Sales. |
Add the Sales Table widget to your Dashboard or machine analytics screen. It shows total sales filtered by time range and payment method. Use the Sales By Period widget to see how sales are distributed over a selected period — week, ten days, month, or year.
Add the Sales/Vend by Products for Period widget. View results as a bar chart or pie chart and filter by time period to identify trends over time.
Add the Sales/Vendors widget to your Dashboard. View as a bar chart or pie chart and filter by time period.
Add the Machines Alert widget. It shows active alerts in descending order by alert count. Tap any alert to navigate to that machine's alert list.
Add the Machine Rating widget to the machine's analytics screen. This widget shows ratings submitted by Monyx Wallet users for that machine.
Wait up to 30 seconds — dashboards can take time to load. If nothing appears, tap the yellow FAB button and select Reset Dashboard to restore the default configuration. If the issue persists, tap the reset (back arrow) button on the More screen to reset all app data. Contact Nayax Support via the Contact Us button if neither resolves it.
Confirm the time range filter on the widget includes a period when transactions occurred. Newly added machines or machines with no recent sales will show empty widgets. Check that the machine is assigned to your operator and has processed at least one transaction.
The Machine Rating widget only displays data if Monyx Wallet is enabled for the machine and consumers have submitted ratings. If Monyx Wallet is not active, this widget will remain empty.
Tap the Search icon (magnifying glass) on the Machines dashboard. You can search by operator name, machine ID, or machine name. Partial matches are supported.
Two options:
- Tap the FAB QR Code button to scan the Monyx sticker if you are standing in front of the machine.
- Switch to Map view on the Machines screen to see machines near your current location. Tap any machine on the map to view its details.
All three views show the same machines — the difference is how many are visible on screen at once. Full Size shows 2–3 machines, Compact shows 3–4, and List view shows 6–7. Use List view when managing a large fleet; use Full Size when you want more detail per machine at a glance.
Tap the gear icon on the Machines screen to open screen preferences. Drag and drop KPIs to reorder them, uncheck to remove, or tap Add KPIs to select additional KPIs to display.
KPIs on the Machines screen have a delay of a few minutes. For the most up-to-date data, open the machine and navigate to the machine analytics screen.
MoMa only shows machines assigned to operators your account has access to. If a machine is missing, confirm it is assigned to the correct operator in Nayax Core and that your account has access to that operator.
Tap the machine, go to the Settings tab, and select Machine Info. Update the Machine Name in the General tab or Actor ID in the Details tab. For location and GPS, select the Location tab. To update the machine photo, tap the camera button at the top of the Machine Info screen.
Tap the machine, then tap the yellow FAB button and choose More Actions > Attach Sticker. Use your phone's camera to scan the new sticker and approve the update.
Tap the yellow FAB button and select More Actions. Tap Reorder at the top to see the current four shortcuts. Drag and drop to rearrange them.
Confirm the machine is assigned to your operator in Nayax Core. Pull down to refresh the Machines list. Check that your MoMa account has access to the relevant operator.
Try shortening your search term — partial matches are supported. Confirm you are searching by machine ID, machine name, or operator name as configured in Nayax Core.
Close and reopen the app. Check your internet connection and ensure you are running the latest version of MoMa. Force-quit and relaunch if the issue persists.
Ensure the sticker is undamaged and properly attached. Confirm the sticker has been registered on the machine in Nayax Core. Check that camera permissions are enabled for MoMa in your device settings.
Confirm location permissions are enabled for MoMa in your device settings. Machines will only appear on the map if a GPS location has been set for them in Nayax Core.
From the MoMa home screen, tap More in the bottom menu, then tap Notification Settings. Tap the + button to browse alert categories or select Popular Alerts for the most commonly used options.

Subscribe to the alert "Alert when machine stock level is below XX from par". Enter your desired stock threshold and activate your notification subscription.
Two options:
- Add the Active Boxes widget to your Dashboard to see how many machines are connected vs. disconnected at a glance.
- Subscribe to the alert "Alert when machine is silent for over XX hours" or "Alert when machine RSSI falls below 0-31".
Set MoMa notifications to high priority so alerts are delivered even in power saving mode:
- Android: Battery Settings > MoMa > Don't Optimize.
- iPhone: Settings > Notifications > MoMa > ensure all toggles are On.
Tap the machine, go to the Settings tab, and tap Parameters. Parameters are separated into sections for easy access.
On the machine Settings tab, tap Machine Info and scroll down in the General tab. Tap the Device or VPOS field to display a list of available devices and select the replacement.
Swipe an alert left to remove it individually, or open the alert and tap Dismiss. To clear all alerts at once, tap the three-dot menu at the top right of the notifications list and select Clear All Notifications.
Check push notification permissions for MoMa in your device settings:
- Android: Battery Settings > MoMa > Don't Optimize.
- iPhone: Settings > Notifications > MoMa > ensure all toggles are On.
Confirm the alert threshold is set correctly under Settings > Alert Thresholds on the machine screen. Confirm the notification method (push, email, or SMS) is selected under Notification Subscription.
Subscribe to the alert "Alert when machine is silent for over XX hours" or "Alert when machine RSSI falls below 0-31". Set your threshold and activate the notification subscription.
On the machine screen, tap the Settings tab and then tap Parameters. Parameters are organised into sections for easy access.
On the machine Settings tab, tap Machine Info and scroll down in the General tab to find the Device and VPOS fields. Tap either field to display a list of available devices to assign.
An MDB code is the internal shelf number programmed on the vending machine's motherboard. A PA code is the physical selection button the customer presses to make a purchase. The product map links each PA code to its corresponding MDB code.
- Make a purchase from each individual bin in order.
- Each sale in the Last Sales tab shows a number in parentheses — this is the MDB code.
- Match each MDB code to the PA code you pressed during that purchase.
- Fill in the PA codes in the product map using this order to complete the map.
Tap the product you want to replace in the product map. When the screen opens, tap the two-arrow button next to the product name to select a different product.
Tap the product in the product map and update the price field. Price fields are separated by payment method.
Tap the FAB button at the bottom of the screen, select More Actions, then choose Create Picklist. Select one or more machines and configure options such as the minimum pick quantity and whether to estimate missing products for future visits.
Once generated, the picklist appears immediately. You can also view it by tapping View Picklist on the actions screen. Tap the pencil icon at the top of the picklist screen to edit the pick quantity for each product.
Confirm Mapping by Transaction is enabled for the machine in Nayax Core. A product map is auto-generated as you make individual bin purchases. If no purchases have been made yet, the map will be empty.
MDB codes are captured in the order in which purchases are made. If you kept track of the order in which you pressed each PA code during the mapping process, you can match each purchase in Last Sales (shown in parentheses) to the corresponding PA code.
The vending machine dictates product pricing. Any price set on the machine itself will overwrite the Product Map. Always update the price physically on the machine first, then reflect the change in the Product Map.
Tap the product you want to replace. When the product screen opens, tap the two-arrow button next to the product name to select a replacement product.
Yes. When submitting a refund request, select Partial Refund and enter the amount to return. The transaction remains active for the remaining balance. The amount must be greater than 0 and less than the full transaction value.
Any MoMa user with refund approval permissions on the relevant machine can approve or decline a request. This does not need to be the same person who submitted the request. Contact your Nayax account administrator if permissions need adjusting.
Refund Externally marks a transaction as already refunded through a third-party system — for example, the customer's bank. It prevents a duplicate refund from being processed in MoMa.
Once approved in MoMa, it can take up to 4 business days for the refund to appear on the cardholder's bank account. Processing times vary by bank.
No. Once fully refunded, the Request Refund option is no longer available for that transaction. Only transactions with a Settled status are eligible for refunds.
- Settled — Transaction processed and funds captured. Refunds and receipts available.
- Pending — Transaction still processing. Refund and receipt not yet available.
- Refund Requested — Refund submitted, awaiting approval.
- Refunded — Refund approved and processed.
Your account may lack refund submission permissions for this machine. Contact your Nayax account administrator to review your access level.
The Approve/Decline Refund button only appears once the transaction status shows Refund Requested. If still not visible, your account may not have refund approval permissions. Contact your Nayax account administrator.
Approved refunds can take up to 4 business days to appear, depending on the cardholder's bank. If the refund has not appeared after 4 business days, contact Nayax Support with the transaction ID.
Confirm the refund amount does not exceed the original transaction amount. For a partial refund, enter a value greater than 0 and less than the full amount. Force-quit and reopen the app if the error persists. Contact Nayax Support if the issue continues.
Use Filters to extend the date range — the default view may not include the transaction. You can also search by the last four digits of the card used or by product name.
Tap More in the bottom menu, then tap the User Settings icon at the top of the screen. Scroll down to the Language field and select your preferred language. You can also change how dates and numbers are displayed based on your region.
Tap More > User Settings icon, then scroll down to the Time Zone field. Enable the override toggle to allow manual time zone selection, then choose your time zone.
The DST setting cannot be manually updated from MoMa or Nayax Core. In MoMa the DST field is not displayed. In Nayax Core the field is visible but disabled. The setting is locked at both the Machine and Actor levels.
Log in to your Nayax Core account, open Account Settings, and click the Security and Login tab to make these changes.
The authenticator verifies your identity when logging in from a new device. To set it up, tap More > Authenticator, then enter the SMS code sent to your registered phone number. The next time you log in from a new device, MoMa will send a push notification to your phone — tap it to sign in immediately.
Swipe an alert left to remove it, or open the alert and tap Dismiss. To clear all alerts at once, tap the three-dot menu at the top right of the notifications list and select Clear All Notifications.
Set MoMa notifications to high priority so alerts are delivered even in power saving mode:
