How to Set Up "Start with Card" MDB Level 1 Pre-Authorization | VPOS Media
This guide covers configuring MDB vending machines for "Authorization First" mode. This setup requires the user to pre-authorize a payment on the card reader before selecting their product, ensuring funds are available.

00:08: On the dashboard of your Nayax Core platform, click on the Operations tab, then
00:12: click on Machines from the drop-down menu.
00:15: To locate your machine, type in your Operator name and any other fields.
00:19: Then click the search button.
00:22: Locate and click on the machine from the hierarchy.
00:25: The main general section will open and scroll to the Card Reader, as highlighted,
00:29: and click to open it.
00:31: Set the Card Reader MDB level to 3, the Decimal place to 2, and
00:35: the transaction start method to 'Product' from the drop-down menu. Then, click

01:15: Return to the main general section, scroll, and click to open the Payment tab.
01:20: Set the Default Credit field (Which must be higher than the most expensive product in the machine),
01:24: then click on the checkbox highlighted in red on the visual.
01:29: Click Save to apply and store all the changes made to the card reader settings.
01:33: A pop-up will be displayed, confirming that the changes were completed successfully.
01:39: Click the Save button to save your progress as highlighted in BLUE on the visual.
01:43: Then, click on the Actions button and select Update Queue, as
01:47: highlighted in RED on the visual. That's now set!

Click Machines

Fill in Operator Details

Locate Machine in Hierarchy
Image AttachedLocate and click on the machine from the hierarchy.
Click Card Readers

Set Card Reader Attributes
Image AttachedSet the Card Reader MDB level to 1, and the transaction start method to 'Mag, Contact plus Contactless' from the drop-down menu. Then, click on the checkbox, as highlighted in RED .
Missing Attributes?

Select MDB Option
Image AttachedReturn to the main general section, and scroll and click to open the MDB tab.
Open Cashless MDB Address
Image AttachedSet the Cashless MDB Address optional features to enable 'Cashless Device #1 then click the checkbox to enable it.
Click Save
Image AttachedClick Save to apply and store all the changes made to the card reader settings.
Completed Successfully
Image AttachedA pop-up will be displayed, confirming that the changes were completed successfully.
