How to Work with Technician Mode for VPOST and Onyx | Devices
Access Technician Mode on your Nayax VPOS Touch or Onyx to reset, reboot, adjust settings, and manage your device on-site with a Technician Card or your preset code.
QUICK VIEW REFERENCE Technician Menu - Function Reference
Once inside Technician Mode (either path), you'll see the same menu. Here's what each function does.

Cash Collection |
Notifies the Nayax server that cash was collected from the machine. Updates your cash accountability records. |

Poll |
Initiates a Keep Alive communication ping with the server to confirm device connectivity. |
|
|
Reboot |
Checks the boot server for an updated device version and restarts the device. Use to apply firmware updates. |
|
|
Inventory Fill |
Notifies the server that the machine inventory has been restocked. |
|
|
Fee |
Defines the convenience fee (extra charge) applied for various payment methods at this device. |
|
|
Reset |
Restarts the device firmware.
|
|
|
Read Audit File |
Initiates a DEX read from the machine and transmits the audit file to the Nayax server. |
|
|
Advanced Settings |
Opens additional Nayax device parameters for advanced configuration. Use with care. |
|
|
Modem Info |
Displays modem details, including version info and signal reception level. Useful for connectivity troubleshooting. |
|
|
View Audit |
Displays the current DEX audit file directly on the device screen. |
|
|
Volume |
Adjusts the audio volume level on the device. |
|
|
Language Settings |
Sets the audio and text display language for the device interface. |
