How to Change the Technician Mode Default Code in Nayax Core
Replace the factory-default technician code on a VPOS device with a custom code using Nayax Core keeping your device secure and access controlled.

EnableOperations › Machines › select machine › Attributes tab › Group: VPOS Touch › enable #984 Technician Code › Save
Set codeGeneral tab › VPOS Touch › enter new code › check to enable › Update Queue
Save your new code in a secure location. Update Queue may trigger a device restart — your changes persist through reboot.
Prerequisites
Before You Start
- ✅ You have Administration access in Nayax Core.
- ✅ You know the machine name or serial number of the device you want to update.
- ✅ The machine has a VPOS Touch device linked to it in Nayax Core.
- ✅ You have the current technician code for the device (required to verify access before changing it).
Don't know the default code? If you don't know the current or factory-default technician code, contact your local Nayax distributor or Nayax Support before proceeding. Do not attempt to guess the code repeated incorrect entries may lock the device.
Tip: Once you set a custom code, save it in a secure, shared location accessible to your technical team. If you lose the code, you will need to contact Nayax Support to reset it.
