Description
You can find the manuals here:
VPOS Media 4 is Nayax's next-generation Android-based payment terminal for self-service retail environments, including vending machines, EV chargers, laundromats, and entertainment. Because it processes sensitive card data, activation is required to meet PCI-PIN security requirements. This ensures your terminal operates securely and complies with global payment regulations.
Before you activate your device, make sure that:
- The device is assigned to your Nayax account.
- Your KYC (Know Your Customer) process is complete.
- You have access to a valid email address associated with your Nayax account.
KYC is a regulatory process that verifies your business identity. Your KYC is complete once you have submitted your business documentation and received confirmation from Nayax. If you are not sure of your status, contact Nayax Support to confirm it.
Log in to your Nayax Core dashboard and go to the Device Management section. Your VPOS Media 4 device is listed there by serial number. If it is missing, contact Nayax Support for help.
Your registered email is used for security verification, including activation links and confirmation messages. It also ensures you receive important updates and notifications about your device.
The system cannot verify your authority to activate the device with an unregistered email.
Once you meet all prerequisites, activation typically takes 5-10 minutes. Additional time may be needed for security verification or confirmation steps. Follow the step-by-step instructions to activate a VPOS Media device on a mobile phone or to activate a VPOS Media device on a PC.
Option 1 - On-screen:
- Turn on your VPOS Media device.
- Tap the top-left corner of the idle screen five times.
- Select Device Info from the hidden menu that appears.
- Find the serial number (S/N) in the top-left corner of the screen.
Option 2 - Physical label: You can also find the serial number printed on a label on the back of the device.
If you manage a large fleet, you do not need to activate each device individually. Enter your registered email address on the activation page and activate the first device - all other devices assigned to your account then appear automatically. You can activate them in bulk from the same interface.
No. Your VPOS Media 4 or VPOS Media 4 Mini must be activated before it can process payments or connect securely to the Nayax payment network. This step protects cardholder data and maintains compliance.
Generally, no. Your device retains its activation credentials through regular updates. In rare cases involving major security changes, you may be asked to complete a re-verification step. You will receive clear instructions if this applies to you.
After you activate your VPOS Media 4 device, it must go through onboarding to function correctly with your machine. Onboarding links the device to a specific machine and defines key settings, including:
- Communication protocol (for example, MDB, Pulse, Marshall, or EV)
- Machine ID, product types, and pricing
- Additional configurations specific to your business or vertical
You perform this setup in Nayax Core.

VPOS Media 4 is an Android-powered, touchscreen terminal that accepts payments and also supports loyalty, on-screen promotions, upsells, gamification, and remote management - turning a payment terminal into an engagement hub.
No. VPOS Media 4 uses the same physical mount and holes as VPOS Touch and requires only a new cable. It works with your existing Nayax Core backend and MoMa mobile app, so training is minimal since workflows stay consistent.
