Understand every column in the DTM default report in Nayax Core to verify transactions, generate receipts, and process refunds with confidence.

Before You Start

Permissions required: If the Dynamic Transaction Monitor tab is not visible in Nayax Core, your user role does not include the required permissions. Contact your Nayax Administrator to request access before proceeding.
  • ✅ You have access to Reports in Nayax Core.
  • ✅ The Dynamic Transaction Monitor tab is visible in the Reports menu.
  • ✅ You have run or are viewing a report to read its column data.

Default Report Fields

The table below explains each column in the DTM default report. Use the Key Values column to quickly identify what each field returns and when it matters.

Field What it means Key values
General
Site ID The server where transaction data is stored for this account. -
Transaction ID A unique identifier for each transaction. Use this number to locate a specific transaction without applying any filters on the page. Unique per transaction
Payment Details
Payment Method ID A numeric code identifying how the payment was made. 1 Card   3 Cash
Currency The currency used for the payment. USD United States   CAD Canada
Machine Reference The name of the machine involved in the transaction, as set in Operations > Machines. This value appears under the General section of the machine settings.
Source PDF may have merged this field with Currency. Confirm this is a separate column in DTM before publishing.
Set in Operations > Machines
Authorization Value The amount held by the bank when a card is used. This amount is reserved at the time of the transaction request and may differ from the final amount charged. May differ from Settlement Value
Settlement Value The actual amount charged to the card. This is the definitive amount spent at the machine or card reader and may differ from the Authorization Value. May differ from Authorization Value
Transaction Type ID A code indicating the type of payment made for the transaction. 0 Card   [empty] Cash
Billing Provider The billing gateway used to process the card payment. -
Machine and Product
Product Selection Info Information about the item purchased. This column is populated only if a product map is configured in Operations > Machines or the Inventory Dashboard. Empty if no product map is set up
Campaign ID Typically empty and not relevant to standard reporting. If this column contains data, contact your Nayax Administrator for assistance. Usually empty
Card Details
Card Number Card information used in the transaction.
🔒Security: Only the first 4 and last 4 digits are visible. Middle digits are always hidden to protect cardholder information. This is expected behavior.
First 4 + last 4 digits only
Credit Card Type Whether the card used is a credit or debit card, as reported by the bank at the time of the transaction. Credit or Debit (bank-reported)
Card Type How the card was physically used at the machine or card reader. CON Chip / Insert
MCR Swipe
CLS Contactless
NFC Near Field Communication
Payment Method (Source) Contains the same information as Card Type. Both columns report the method by which the card was used at the machine. Same values as Card Type
Timing
Machine Authorization Time The date and time the authorization request was sent to the bank. This represents the moment the machine requested that funds be held. Date and time of bank request
Machine Settlement Time The date and time the bank confirmed and approved the transaction amount. This represents the moment the funds were finalized. Date and time of bank approval
Authorization RRN The Retrieval Reference Number - the confirmation number for the transaction. Enter this value in the Confirmation Number search field to locate the transaction directly. Searchable via Confirmation Number field
Transaction Status
Transaction Status ID A code indicating whether the transaction completed or was cancelled. Each non-approved code maps to a specific cancellation reason, displayed alongside a color on the transaction row.
A white or off-white row with a status ID of 12 means the transaction completed successfully. Any other code indicates the cancellation reason.

Refund Tracking
Refund Request By The user who submitted the refund request for this transaction. Empty if no refund has been requested. Empty = no refund requested
Refund Request Date The date on which the refund was submitted. Empty if no refund has been requested. Empty = no refund requested
Refund Reason The stated reason for the refund request. Empty if no refund has been requested. Empty = no refund requested

Finding a transaction fast: Use the Transaction ID or Authorization RRN to locate a specific transaction without applying any report filters. Both values uniquely identify the transaction across your account.

Creating a Custom Report

Build a custom report tab in DTM to apply your own filters and display only the columns relevant to your workflow.

    Click the green + Add Tab button in the DTM report toolbar.

    Select the filters you want to apply to your custom report from the configuration panel.

    Drag and drop column categories from the field list into the last column to add them to your report layout.

    Click View Report to run the report with your selected filters and columns.

Tip: Custom report tabs persist in your DTM view. Return to them at any time by selecting the named tab in the toolbar - you do not need to rebuild the configuration each session.
