How to Setup Bottle Deposit | Catalog
Several countries have adopted a bottle deposit scheme to encourage recycling and responsible disposal. This guide explains how to configure a bottle deposit charge in your catalog.

Click Catalog Tab
Image AttachedOn the dashboard of your Retail Core management suite click the Catalog tab from the side menu.

Click Products Tab

In the sub-menu, click the products tab.

Click + Icon

Click the plus icon on the top right of the screen.

Choose Series

You have a choice of Manual input or Sirius.
Manual - Choose Item codes manually
Sirius - Allocates the Item codes automatically
Sirius - Allocates the Item codes automatically

Fill in the following fields:

Enter product item code and display name for this item then click on the calendar icon to set the date.
For this example - Bottle Deposit

Click General Field Tab

Scroll down to the General field tab click to open and fill in the required fields.

Choose Hierarchy

Choose under which hierarchy to set for this product.

Click Prices Tab

Scroll down and click on Prices tab to open.

Click Retail Price List Tab

Scroll down to retail price list and click on the arrow tab to open as highlighted in RED on the visual.

Click + Icon

Click the plus icon.

Set Price and Activation Date

Set the price for the item and then activation date by clicking the calendar icon as highlighted in RED on the visual to open the pop up box.

Click Add

Click Add button.

Click Create

Click the Create button at the top of the screen.

Don't forget to click save to save your progress.

Click Catalog Tab

Now to link the deposit to the item, click on the Catalog tab from the side menu.

Click Products Tab

In the sub-menu, click on the Products tab.

Search Item to Link

Search for the item you want to link the deposit to.
PRO TIP: you can search by typing the name in the display field and clicking search as highlighted in RED on the visual or via the arrows to view pages of your catalog as highlighted in BLUE on the visual.

Click Item Code

Click Item Code of the item to link your deposit.

Click Linked Items Tab

Scroll down to the Linked items section and click on it to open.

Click + Icon

Click on the plus Icon as highlighted in RED on the visual.

Click Arrow

Click on the arrow for the drop down options.

Locate Item to Link

Locate the item you created to link, for this example: bottle deposit 1

Click Add

Click the Add button as highlighted in RED on the visual.

Click Save

Click save to save your progress.
Note: This will appear as a second item on the receipt with the charge set for the deposit.
