Why set a Default Credit?
Why set a Default Credit?
In pre-authorization mode, your machine places a hold on the customer's payment card before the vend begins. The Default Credit is the amount of that hold. It tells Nayax Core how much to authorize upfront before the customer has selected anything or the final charge is known.
Setting this correctly protects your revenue. If the Default Credit is too low, you risk under-authorizing high-value transactions. The value you set must be higher than the most expensive product in your machine to ensure every transaction is fully covered.
