Apply Presets – Device/VPOS FW Update

On occasion, it is necessary to upload firmware to multiple devices at the same time. We can do this on a screen called “Apply Presets” with a feature called “Device FW Upgrade”. To find this feature, login to the Nayax Core portal and go to Administration > Apply Presets. Then, find the Device FW Upgrade tab and click this.

On this page, you’ll need to fill in the Operator field with the correct operator/actor, select the firmware version you wish to update to in the drop down.

Note: If using this page to update a VPOS Touch or Onyx device, you will need to also use the VPOS FW Upgrade tab and select the matching POS FW for your device and version.

You can use the Search Device field to search for individual devices by serial number. To search for all devices under the Operator/Actor you entered in the first field, leave this field blank and click the magnifying glass button next to it.

In the generate list, click on all devices you wish to send the update to. When finished, click “Update Device Version” in the top left corner of the screen.

The following dialogue will appear.

 You can use the Date field to schedule the update if required. If doing so, you will need to check the Specify Time For Update option. It is recommended to always check the Is Restart Required box. When finished, click the Update Device Version button and the update will be sent to the device’s queues.

If updating VPOS Touch devices, you will need to repeat the same steps on the VPOS FW Upgrade tab of Apply Presets and select the matching POS version for the Main version you updated previously.
